industrial makeshifts by Simon Hasan

London designer Simon Hasan has made hand-made bowls, cups and vases from boiled cow leather, which he sold via vending machines. He has used the medieval leather-working technique of Cuir Bouilli to mass-produce over 400 handcrafted objects. The pieces are moulded on archetypes of mass-production such as cola bottles or anonymous pund-shop plastic objects. Here is a link where he talks about his project. I really love the colour, shape and the idea of these amazing pieces.
